Water UFO Researcher Carl Feindt Passes Away

Carl and I flew together to Los Angeles to make several Hangar 1 Television programs.
Carl’s interest in water-related UFOs was preceded by his fascination with aircraft. As a boy, he carved balsa replicas of flying machines and in his teens flew model aircraft. He became a cadet in the Civil Air Patrol. Carl went on to study aircraft engineering at the Academy of Aeronautics in New York City. Following two years of service in the Air Force, he was forced to return to civilian life due to a family hardship. He worked in customer service for a major airline for over three decades.
Upon retirement he became active in ufology, about which he had been reading since the early 1960s. A wonderful opportunity presented itself when Jan Aldrich, a UFO researcher, asked for volunteers to do local newspaper searches. Over the course of eight years, he studied microfilm rolls at the University of Delaware, covering the years between 1923 and 1967. To his amazement, he found 750 UFO-related articles in Delaware, the second-smallest state!
Intrigued by the fact that aircraft, as we know them, cannot emerge from water or submerge into water, he started assembling water-related UFO cases. His research has grown into an increasingly large data base and website.
He appeared on TV’s History Channel documentaries “Deep-Sea UFO’s” and “Deep-Sea UFO’s Red Alert” He presented his paper “Physical Influences of a UFO on Water” at the MUFON Symposium in Denver, Colorado. He has been a guest on numerous radio talk shows and gave lectures across the U S and Canada.
Carl Feindt wrote an excellent book about UFOs and Water. Underwater UFOs have been sighted on many occasions lifting out of their submerged depths and taking to the air. In an article entitled “UFOs – at 450 Fathoms,” UFO Reporter Ed Hyde told of the sighting made by Dr. R. J. Villela, a Brazilian scientist, who saw a UFO smash through an estimated 40 feet of ice at the South Pole and soar into the sky at amazing speed. See: waterufo.net/menu.htm
