Sounds like insanity.
Forcing water into the volcano will surely create high pressure steam.
Could blow the whole thing apart.
Anyone who is feeling both brave and lucky can add a cup of water to a couple of pint of cooking oil and heat it up on the stove.
Don't worry, you will be ok.
Right up to the point where the water in the oil (which will have formed a big superheated bubble in the bottom) breaks through to the surface.
Then you will probably need to go to the emergency room for burns as the pan explodes in a cloud of steam..

I don't even pretend to be a scientist, and after reading this, and assuming it's true, I have no real desire to be called one. Yellowstone is the best example in the world of what happens when water and high heat come together. Please let this be a joke.
