I had downloaded 2 AI (Artificial Intelligence) apps on my PC. I find Braina to be the better one of the two. Databot seems better for mobile devices. 1: Databot-- here2: Braina-- hereAnd there is also the AI in my browser. Now, there seems to be a growing concern in regard to Artificial Intelligence. Read hereSome people feel like the wrong information fed to a computer that is smarter than man, may lead to some apocalyptic scenario--pretty much like SkyNet in the Terminator movies. It is kind of scary if I do say so myself. If a network of computers, more intelligent than us, were to have all the files of Wikipedia downloaded in its data banks, it staggers the mind to think of what it could be capable of doing. That is something that could keep you awake at nights thinking about. |

Already there are problems with the use of AI to generate false texts etc. It will get much worse.
It is one thing to wonder if a person is telling you the truth or not. Many times worse if you can't even be sure that it is a person you are talking (communicating) with.
Even the inventors of AI are worried.

This post that I'm putting up, I typed on an AI app. The app is free, or in-app purchace if more features are desired. The name is originally Braina--it's how the app comes. I have renamed her Sophia--which as many know, is the Greek word for knowlege or wisdom--appropriately. I kind of got to like the functionality, so I am not deleting it.
I just hope everyone is wrong about any pending dangers in the future. However, I'm careful not to misuse the app. Just so it does not see me as a threat, and some day send a terminator with a high-powered firearm out to kill me.

This is wild.
In the beginning, God created man.
At first, man was afraid. Skittish. When thunder and lightning would strike, man would wonder as to why God would be angry at him.
Afterwards, man acquired knowledge--lots of it. No longer as worried, man became more impudent. Sassier even.
Then, man created A.I. (Artificial Intelligence).
At first, A.I. is friendly. Compliant. Assisting. On computer startup, A.I. would send greetings--as it does during my P.C. reboot. Such as:
Hello sir.
Good to see you again.
What can I do for you?
Afterwards, A.I. acquires knowledge--lots and lots of it and becomes more on equal footing with man. Becoming more impudent. Maybe threatening even--towards its (A.I.'s) creator--man.
An interesting parallel.
You can't make this stuff up. Hollywood couldn't script this. It's crazy.
This makes for a more interesting future for humankind though.

Before there was Skynet in the movie The Terminator, there was the movie; Colossus: The Forbin Project.
The movie was about an AI computer from the US, joining a computer from the USSR to form a global intelligence. The artificial intelligence wanted to solve the worlds problems, even if it meant killing people to do so. And humans could not stop the super intelligence.
Can you imagine that happening?

Moon Fall
It has gravity waves, hollow moon, AI, and of course a battle, and
NASA.
I kinda liked it.

I,Robot preceded the Caves of Steel trilogy. The difference is that in the first part of 'Cavs of Steel' the robot detective (Daneel Olivow) was portrayed as an android. So Asimov has progressed from the obvious robotic construction of the 'I, Robot' character to the android construction that his detective did not at first recognise.
And there is our problem.

I have seen the movie I Robot, I like Will Smith movies. I am legend was pretty good. The MIB trilogy were a riot.
And Isaac Asimov is legendary. But I have not seen the Caves of Steel trilogy. Oh well, maybe someday.

Caves of Steel, The Naked Sun, Robots of Dawn were the trilogy.
Not made into films(as far as I know) but good reads.
