This mysterious 2006 case became famous nationwide. I remember seeing it on the news. 27-year-old Brian Shaffer was a student at the Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus. His mother died in March but everyone who knew him said he was handling her death well although he had been close to her. Brian was involved with a second-year medical student named Alexis Waggoner. On Friday, March 31, Brian went out for dinner with his father, Randy. Later that night, he met with his friend "Clint" for drinks. Clint's real name is William Florence. They bar-hopped around town doing a shot at every bar they stopped in. Then they met with Clint's friend, Meredith Reed. She drove them back to the bar where they started the night, The Ugly Tuna Saloona, and joined them for a last round as the bars were set to close. The bar was on an upper floor which was reached by escalator. A camera was mounted there so people coming in or leaving could be seen. At some point, Florence and Reed lost sight of Brian. They looked around and called his name but could not find him. They ended up leaving as the bar closed and waited for Brian but he did not show. They assumed he must have run into friends and left with them. Over the weekend, Alexis Waggoner and Randy Shaffer tried calling Brian repeatedly but got no answer. On Monday, he and Waggoner were booked to fly to Miami but Brian did not show up at the airport. She called the police and reported him missing. Police examined the camera footage and saw Brian outside the bar at 1:55 am near the escalators taking to two women. He bid them goodbye and turned and walked back towards the bar's entrance. He was never seen leaving. In fact, he was never seen again. To make things weirder, there was no other exit for Brian to use to leave the bar. A camera that panned the inside of the bar did not show Brian anywhere. The building had only one other exit which was never used by the public and it opened onto a construction area that police felt was too difficult to walk through especially if one were inebriated. I don't know if this exit was in the bar itself or somewhere else in the building. At this point, police speculation becomes odd and apparently desperate. They assumed Brian may have donned different clothes, put on a hat and walked out of the bar in disguise. Since Brian had arrived with Reed and Florence, certainly they would have noticed if he was carrying another change of clothes. Reed and Randy took polygraphs and passed but Clint refused to take one. This caused suspicion to fall on him even though it would have been impossible for him to have done anything to Brian since he was with Meredith Reed when Brian disappeared. The two women Brian spoke with were located but they had no information to give and stated they were never polygraphed. Police theorized that Brian was still alive and that he might have disappeared because he was despondent over his mother's death. Brian's friends, Alexis Waggoner and Randy Shaffer dismissed this idea. Footage from other cameras in the area were examined but none showed any trace of Brian. Police also looked in the sewers but nothing was found. A radius of several miles around the bar was searched but there was no trace of Brian. A nearby river was searched but there was no trace of Brian there either. Brian Shaffer seems to have dropped off the face of the earth and remains missing as of this posting. Randy Shaffer moved to Baltimore and died in 2008 without ever knowing what happened to his son. A condolence book was posted online and contained an entry that read, "To Dad, Love Brian (U.S. Virgin Islands)" but police traced the posting to a public computer in Franklin County near Columbus.

23-year-old Corrie McKeague of the RAF disappeared in the early morning hours of September 24, 2016 in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England. He was seen on CCTV entering a cul-de-sac in what is known as the Horseshoe but never coming out. He had left a pub and was believed to be somewhat inebriated (a bouncer at the pub said he and McKeague talked in the street for some time and that the chat had been friendly and McKeague then walked away) and appears to have dozed off in a doorway in the Horseshoe. Police believe he then woke up, climbed into a lorry bin used to haul trash, fell asleep, was crushed when the bin was moved to the nearby landfill and that his remains are still buried there. That bin was supposed to have only carried 33 lbs of trash but was later discovered to have had about 256 lbs of trash bolstering the idea that McKeague's body was in the bin and that he was buried in the Milton landfill when the bin was dumped. The problem is, the landfill was searched down at least 25 feet which they estimate would have easily covered the right time period for trash from that bin to be buried but no trace of McKeague was found. The search started in February. By July, over 7200 tons of material had been sifted through but no trace was found. The search of the landfill was called off. In August, police searched through incinerated material at another fill that sometimes took trash from the Milton landfill for incineration but no trace of McKeague was found. In October, the Milton landfill was searched again in an adjacent area to the first search but by March of 2018, no trace of McKeague was found and the search was called off. McKeague's mother believes her son would not have slept in the lorry bin but rather left the Horseshoe later in the day when the CCTV cameras would have been turned off but is unable to explain why her son then never contacted anyone or why he would have gone AWOL. His cell phone was tracked and indicated he had gone into the Horseshoe but it gives no indication of him leaving. Police believe it was crushed in the lorry bin and buried at the landfill. While the conclusion of the police is the most plausible, it fails when one considers how much material was sifted through as well as all the time and very large amount of money spent looking for a trace of McKeague. Surely, SOMETHING would have been found. Some said that if his body was crushed, it would have decomposed faster than normal but, seriously, bone fragments at least would have been found. Bones were found but none were McKeague's. They were identified as animal remains. A human skull was found but it was from a woman who died in 1945 and the party responsible for putting it there had nothing to do with McKeague alive or dead. They can find all these bones but they can't find McKeague's? That's a bit unbelievable. As of this writing, no trace of Corrie McKeague has been found. Police still believe his body is in the landfill but cannot explain why no trace of him has ever turned up despite the massive search at great expenditure which certainly should have turned up something. It reminds me eerily of the Brain Shaffer case because both men entered a cul-de-sac and never came out and have never been found which flies in the face of all logic. Jerrold J. Potter was a businessman in 1968 who had 2 grown daughters and belonged to such clubs as the Lions, Elks, Moose and the Illinois Chamber of Commerce. He also sat on the Pontiac, Illinois city council. He co-owned an insurance company with his brother. On June 29, he and his wife, Carrie, climbed aboard a DC-3 in Pontiac and headed to Dallas to attend a Lions Club convention. The weather was perfect. The pilot, Miguel Cabeza stated, "There was no weather disturbance to account for what would happen later." Less than an hour into the flight, somewhere over Missouri, Potter excused himself to use the lavatory. His wife saw him pause to talk to James Schaive, president of the Lions Club in Ottawa, Illinois. She turned back to the window to enjoy the scenery. It would be the last time she would ever see her husband.
Half an hour later, Jerrold had not returned. Carrie turned to look at the lavatory near the rear of the plane. The door was shut. She worried that perhaps her husband was in some trouble. The plane then hit a tiny pocket of turbulence. Unless one were paying attention, one would not have noticed it. But up in the pilots' cabin, Cabeza saw the red "Door Open" light turn on. One of the emergency doors was open! Cabeza told his co-pilot Roy Bacus to go check the doors.
Around that same time, Carrie Potter notified a stewardess that her husband was missing. She was worried that he might be sick in the lavatory. The stewardess checked the lavatory but it was empty. She encountered Bacus making his rounds and told him about the missing passenger. When he checked the emergency door in the rear of the plane, it was open a crack. The safety chain was lying on the floor. He went back to the flight cabin and told Cabeza what he had discovered. They theorized that perhaps the slight bump the plane registered might have thrown Potter against the door, which was near the lavatory, and the chain broke and Potter fell out or maybe he opened the emergency door thinking it was the lavatory door and was sucked out. A thorough search of the plane confirmed that Jerrold Potter was not on the plane. Cabeza radioed into the Springfield, MO airport that he needed to make an emergency landing.
Investigators searched every inch of the plane but Jerrold Potter was not onboard. So, he must have fallen out of the emergency door. The trouble is, the amount of force necessary to open the door would be extremely difficult due to the pressure differential. Even if Potter had fallen hard against the door, that would not be nearly enough force for the door to open and why would he have fallen hard against the door anyway since the bump the plane experienced was barely noticeable? The idea that he would have or could have opened the door thinking it was the lavatory door is not tenable. Some thought that Potter was murdered in the lavatory and the killer threw the body out the emergency door but the same problem presents itself--how did the killer get the door open? Of course, why and how anyone would have killed Potter also needs explaining.
A ground search was carried out along the plane's route up to Springfield but there was no sign of Potter which would be highly improbable if he had really fallen out. He would not have survived a fall of two miles and his body would have been found somewhere if not by the search party then by somebody. But there was not a trace of Jerrold Potter. Carrie Potter called off the search after four fruitless days because she was afraid too many people were putting their lives at risk trying to find her husband. Carrie Potter sued the Perdue Aviation Corporation for $800,000 and was awarded $80,000 which mostly went to pay off her legal fees.
While the "official" conclusion is that Jerrold Potter fell from the plane; over 50 years later, there has been no trace of Jerrold Potter.

In July of 1984, Christopher James Harvey was staying with his family at their summer trailer home in Hinsdale County on the edge of the San Juan National Forest in Colorado. He visited a friend's trailer and talked about a band camp he wanted to attend. He then left to take his dog for a walk in the forest at about 3:30 pm. Sometime later, the dog returned by itself, Christopher was nowhere to be seen. He was never seen again. Some speculate that he got lost but he was known to be an excellent hiker. Plus it seems strange that he would have gone far into the woods if he was only going to take his dog for a walk. After an extensive search, no sign of Christopher was found. A couple of weeks later, a badly beaten boy was found wandering a mountain road. He was about Christopher's age and build. He suffered such extensive facial damage that Christopher's parents identified him as their son but later had doubts. A check of dental records confirmed the boy was not Christopher but he was unable to give any details of who he was or what had happened to him and later slipped into a coma.It is not known if the injured boy was in any way related to the case of Christopher. While this might be a case of abduction and murder, it does bear some resemblance to a 411 case: it happened in a heavily wooded area, the boy had went to walk his dog, he was an avid and experienced hiker, the dog came back alone, no sign of a human abductor or killer, no trace of the victim. What isn't known is the state of the dog upon being found. In other 411 cases, the dogs seem uninterested in finding their caretaker or seem to have no memory of what had transpired. Was the dog excited or in a state of alarm or did it act as though nothing had happened? Police suspect foul play but have nothing really to go on for this conclusion other than the victim vanished although they could certainly be right. To this day, there has been no trace of Christopher James Harvey. Christopher Harvey March 17, 1995, Pickering Ontario -- 6 teens: Jamie Lefebvre, 17, of Scarborough Jay Boyle, 17, of Pickering Chad Smith, 18, of Pickering Robbie Rumboldt, 17, of Pickering Michael Cummins, 17, of Oshawa Danny Higgins, 16, of Ajax had been out partying and were known to be inebriated. Three of them were seen on surveillance tape breaking into a marina on French Bay, Lake Ontario, early in the morning where they stole two boats. It is assumed the six young men took the boats out on Lake Ontario. No one reported seeing them. In fact, the tape is the last sighting of any of the teens. They vanished after that and are still missing over 25 years later. Not even the two boats they stole have been found. The only clue was a gas can from one of the boats turning up in Wilson, New York. The lake was searched but no bodies were found. No one on the New York side of the lake reported seeing any of the teens. One could assume that the boys were waylaid by someone, taken somewhere and killed but what happened to the boats? To this day, the families of the boys get together on occasion to remember their lost loved ones and they search endlessly for any clues or witnesses who might have seen something that fateful early morning so long ago but there has never been a trace found of the "lost boys" or the boats they took for their joy ride on Lake Ontario.

amp.registerguard.com/amp/42208323Michael Bryson, 27, disappeared August 5th of this year from the Hobo Camp Campground in Oregon. He was not alone but was attending a rave. At about 4:30 am, he suddenly left his friends and has not been seen since. None of his friends saw him leave. Hundreds of searchers on foot and horseback have scoured miles of land and water without luck. Drones have also been employed but with no success. No trace of him has been found. Bryson's camping gear was left behind, his phone is turned off and there is no activity in his financial assets. Did someone at the rave have it in for him? Nobody there noticed anything unusual. He was there one minute and then he wasn't. If he left on his own, where did he go and why?

www.cnn.com/2019/07/29/world/missing-canadian-woman-mary-byman-trnd/index.htmlAn 84-year-old woman vanished while picking berries in Manitoba in July of 2019. She was found 5 days later in thick brush. She was about 1.2 miles southwest of her last known position. There is a whole section of 411 vanishings dedicated just to berry-pickers. Was this a 411? Hard to say. She was out picking berries with a friend but got separated but we are not given any details of how that occurred. Could be completely ordinary. There is one thing that seems a bit odd which is in the last paragraph: "It took firefighters over two hours to clear a path to her and another two hours to return her to civilization, according to RCMP." How would an 84-year-old woman walk into brush so thick that it would take her rescuers 2 hours just to get to her and another 2 hours to get her out? Then again, it might be nothing. We just don't have the details we need. It would be interesting to know what she remembers of getting into that brush. But even if she remembers nothing, we can always shrug and say that she's 84.

On May 28, 1954, the Grand Glaize Cruiser was capsized in a severe storm on the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri at the Lazy Days Resort. Six confirmed people lost their lives. The trouble is three other people were never recovered. Two of the three were Thomas and Dorothy Fahey of Chicago who were honeymooning at the resort. The trouble arises because nobody remembers them being on the boat. The captain of the boat at the time is certain the couple was not on it. The Faheys car was still at the resort with their belongings still in it. So, maybe they were on the boat after all. The problem is for three bodies to never be found would be highly unusual--frankly, on this lake, it was unheard of. Moreover, that two of the three random victims would be a newlywed couple puts the odds so far out of reach as to conclude that the Faheys were never on the boat. But then what happened to them? In 411 cases, it is extremely common that after someone vanishes in parks or resorts, a storm suddenly flares up and interrupts the ability to search. Is that what happened here? The storm that flared up in this case has certainly calls things into question.

14-year-old Noah Donahoe went missing on June 21, 2020 while riding his bike through Belfast, Northern Ireland. A witness claimed he saw Noah fall off his bike but get back on and ride away. A short time after that, Noah began to shed his clothing item-by-item as he rode along until he was naked. At that point, Noah abandoned his bike and was not seen again. Police did not know why Noah went where he did. There seemed to be no real destination. Dogs were brought in assist in the search but, in spite of numerous items of clothing, could not pick up a scent.
Police theorized that Noah suffered a head injury when he fell off his bike and this accounted for his odd behavior. This was strange because Noah was known to be wearing a biker's helmet. The witness had also apparently stated that the boy he saw was wearing a helmet. Some days later, Noah was found. He had entered a storm drain for reasons unknown. He was found naked and dead.
The ME said that Noah had no signs of physical trauma and definitely did not have a head injury. Cause of death was drowning despite the water level being too low for that. Noah's parents have no explanation for their son's weird death calling it completely out of character.
A lot of speculation has been done to explain how this boy might have died but these are the basic facts.

nypost.com/2020/09/29/woman-missing-for-2-years-discovered-alive-at-sea/Weird story making the rounds today. I read it this morning at work. A Colombian woman named Angelica Gaitan disappeared two years ago. She was rescued just recently in the ocean about 1.3 miles off the coast of Puerto Colombia when two fisherman spotted her floating in the water and rescued her. She was unable to respond as she was suffering from hypothermia from the chilly waters. She stated that she had been in a very abusive marriage and fled from her husband who had tormented terribly for 20 years even through her pregnancies with her daughters. Cops did nothing to help her so she fled to where she hoped she could get help but received none. Plunged into despair and depression, she threw herself into the water in 2018 hoping to drown and slipped into unconsciousness. She apparently woke up two years later being rescued. of course, she could not have been in the water for two years so where was she? It seems, from the details given, that she doesn't remember where she was for two years. Her body had been in the water for about 8 hours when she was rescued. Where was she prior to entering the water and why did she enter it--especially as chilly as it was? Who was with her? If no one was with her then where did she stay for two years? I can't believe anyone would have let her get into the water since she could easily have died. In some 411 cases, people disappear for long periods before turning up again and remembering nothing about where they were. They often regain consciousness many miles away from where they vanished although they have no memory of traveling and nobody reporting seeing or interacting with them during their missing time. Yet, they are well-fed and well-groomed. One man came to wearing someone else's clothes and carrying a satchel full of maps and was 700 miles away from where he vanished 15 months earlier. No one saw him and he was presumed dead. Now, maybe this case is not a 411. Perhaps Ms. Gaitan will remember more as time goes on. But I thought I should mention it here before I forget.

What do you ascribe as being the collective cause for your interest in these many missing and-or strangely found deaths that you have cited? Go back and read the past posts--especially the first two pages. BuzzBomb,
I apologize re; the length of this post....
In reading 30 of your 84 posts up to my question post, while I see your consternation, I don't recognize where you take a stand as to what your interest is that drives your continual inquiry into the missing people, and the apparent 'phenomenon'. So my question remains, what drives your interest? Just curiosity, or are you following a hunch because you can see a hint of invariant patterns? It seems to me that it is obvious that you don't believe that anything, ET or otherwise is 'visiting' Earth from anywhere else in the galaxy or from another dimension, etc. Or maybe you are like many left hemi's that can't quite admit that there is something happening?
But there is other information which seems to be related to these type events. There is scant information re; the matter, and the reason for that, might well be a multi-fold one, but the obvious reason is that any person who is found deceased in a strangely odd manner or condition is treated as a homicide by authorities and all relevent information disappears from the public view.
Years ago, when I was affiliated with a certain billionaire's anomally investigative organization, I made the observation that Humo-Mute information might be accessible if off-duty and-or retired police detectives were to be engaged, providing normally inaccessible access to the National Police Homicide database. It wasn't long thereafter that they hired retired police officers. But then again, most of the gleaned information is not in the general anomally investigators' view, unless one is in the 'loop'.
One of the matters that I find quite frustrating about virtually all of the postings so far, is the scant details of the condition of the bodies when found. Humo-Mutes exhibit specific characteristics which are consistent with cattle-mutes and equine-mutes, it is a pattern. Yet not one of the posts describes any of those unique characteristics, aside from being found in water, or missing shoes or berries, etc. Perhaps it is due to the quality of the information available to the authors. I understand that frustrating situation. I feel precisely the same when I attempt to investigate any event where the MUFFIN investigators have been active. As illustrated in the Tom Cruise rendition of the Orson Wells' classic, "War of the Worlds", in the scene where the gal in the ENG van makes the claim, "when the tri-pods start moving no further information comes out of the area!" That is what happens when MUFON is around or the police. The quality information disappears.
Interestingly, I happen to know of an event, which unfortunately has a very negative ending. In 2001, I hosted an admission by invitation clandestine scientific ET research group, which I named, Organization for SETV Research which promoted my SETV search model doctrine. Members of the organization were required to sign a binding instrument of Non-Disclosure preventing disclosure of membership identities. Prospective membership was voted by a membership quorum vote and if confirmed the prospective individual was contacted and invited to join the group. Membership was free, yet members did infact donate resources to the community, but it wasn't a required organization policy, it was a community process that evolved on its own.
Most of the members were courted from the SETI-I (SETI Institute and most of them were members of the Board of Directors of the SETI Institute). Virtually all the other members were Ph.D.s affiliated with various .edu's and-or professors of edu's located around the globe. One or two members were professional TV people, one affiliated with the BBC and the other a Hollywood broadcast engineer. That engineer, happened to be a Remote Viewer who became quite involved within the OSR and my ETp contact experiments involving Luminous-Orbs. This event involves him, whom I will name for privacy as 'SC'.
SC experienced several high-strangeness events over a period of six months after his involvement with my luminous-orb experiments, as well as did I, which is outside the scope of this post.
I had worked for SC as machine-room engineer in Hollywood where he was the chief engineer at a post-edit facility on Melrose Blvd. We became friends and later, he parked his RV on my property so that he would not have to drive all the way out to Palm Desert where his home was located, a distance of ~120 miles/193km each way or about 5 hours/direction durring business hours. He was personable fellow and my wife and my step daughters all liked him. He helped me with the experiments which I conducted at my home, mostly by placing the experiment platform on my roof, running the control and telemetry/data cables down into my laboratory where the Linux control/data computer was located.
Although SC lived inside his class-c RV, SC frequently used one of our two showers. One of his experiences ocurred while he was taking a shower. He said that while taking the show, he felt a tingling sensation ripple down his back and it coursed down both of his arms into his wrists. The sensation lasted about five minutes. He opened the shower door and using a camera, he photographed a half a dozen tiny orbs inside the shower stall with him which all appear to be water droplets in the photo, but which visually all merged together, forming a fuzzy tennis ball size whitish orb which dropped, moving around down by his genitals and then it moved upward and settled on the inside of his left wrist, where upon he almost blacked out with pain. Falling backwards onto the shower-wall seat (a bench built-into the shower wall), he regained full senses. His wrist hurt but he had dropped his Scientific Atlantic (a water resistant shock resistant metal cased camera, expensive for the period). He picked up his camera but the orb had vanished but he photographed his wrist. I have those photos somewhere? The wrist photos depict scoop marks which at the time were bright red, and later turned jet black and then slowly disappeared over a few days time. Up until that juncture SC was eagerly involved in the ET contact processes, but that event scared him which caused him to become more reluctant to participant in the experiments. I too was experiencing some rather strange physical events.
A week or two later, he had driven out to his ranch which was located about 15 miles/24km outside of Palm Desert city, out in the desert where his closest neighbor was located on an unpaved desert road seven miles distant. His property was located out in the middle of an empty desert area, with a cloud-burst ravine 20ft/9m deep, and about 80ft/24m wide on one side adjacent to his fence. He had 9ft/3m high chain-link fence completely around his 1 acre property, in an attempt to keep the coyotes and mountain lions from jumping over the fence. He often slept on a swing cot arranged on his porch in the summer for coolness. Adjacent to his ranch style home, completely off the grid, solar powered, septic tank, and trucked in water tank, he had two 40ft/12m long metal containers, one of which he had converted into an electronics lab where he worked on his various projects. He would open the door, sitting with his back toward the open door for the cool night air. He always kept the entrance gate to his property locked. While there typically was no traffic at all, and he could hear any vehicle traversing the dirt road, he just felt more secure with the gate locked.
SC was engineering a custom switching power-supply project for work, when he felt and saw stars as he 'sparkled-out' he awakened several hours later with blood streaming down the back of neck. He had a gash just above the hair-line on his head and it hurt. Inside his lab, several of his computers (like myself he had numerous machines), all of the machines that had data pertaining to our ETp experiment had their removable drives physically torn out of their drive-slides as though pried out with a crowbar. He closed up his lab and drove into town to the local urgent care clinic where the doctor put 7 staples into the gash to close it.
Reviewing the event, the gate was locked, and he had heard no vehicle approaching his property and there were no footprints leading up to the container. The information on those drives were pertaining to our experiments.
A month later, SC had flown to Denver Colorado to attend a remote viewing conference. After a long day of seminars he had returned to his hotel room on the second floor above the parking lot level. He went inside and laid down to take a nap so that he'd be refreshed to attend the conference dinner at 8pm. While laying down, he saw a bright light as though from a truck's headlights through the windows, as though he were on the parking lot level. He awakened at 10pm, surprised as he had set his watch alarm to awaken him at 7:30pm. When he got up, SC discovered that his pants and and button shirt were on backwards?? Taking off his clothes to correct matters he discovered that his briefs were also on backwards. He was missing about three hours of time and his clothes were on backwards somehow.
Sadly, SC suffered a stroke two years later, and while recovering from the stroke, he began suffereing from intense head aches, which was diagnosed as being a brain tumor which formed precisely under the area where he had been struck in the head inside his container. SC died.
There were other odd things that happened, but I'm saving those details for a book that I have decided to write, after much cajoling by my friends through the years.
Lots of yak, yak, but like you, what the phuk is happening? And who or what is doing it?
