UFO sightings: NASA expert urges to take alien claims SERIOUSLY - 'There must be life'
UFO claims and stories of extraterrestrial visitors to Earth need to be considered without blanket scepticism, a physicist and former NASA researcher has shockingly claimed.
By Sebastian Kettley PUBLISHED: 15:46, Tue, Mar 19, 2019
NASA’s hunt for proof of alien life is at the forefront of the space agency’s deep space exploration. But here on Earth, many conspiracy theorists and self-appointed UFO-hunters are already certain aliens visit Earth on a regular basis. Most of these alien claims, supposed UFO sightings and stories of mysterious crop circles appearing overnight are immediately dismissed by the scientific community. A former NASA researcher and physicist at the University of Albany, however, has argued immediate scepticism to all UFO-related theories is counterproductive.
Kevin Knuth, an associate professor at Albany, argued in an opinion piece for Cosmos Magazine, the odds of life existing outside of Earth are pretty high.
The “unsettling and refreshing” possibility is exactly why, he argued, more attention needs to be paid to what is happening in the skies.
Dr Knuth said: “I think UFO scepticism has become something of a religion with an agenda, discounting the possibility of extraterrestrials without scientific evidence, while often providing silly hypotheses describing only one or two aspects of a UFO encounter reinforcing the popular belief that there is a conspiracy.
“A scientist must consider all of the possible hypotheses that explain all of the data, and since little is known, the extraterrestrial hypothesis cannot yet be ruled out.
“In the end, the sceptics often do science a disservice by providing a poor example of how science is to be conducted.
“The fact is that many of these encounters – still a very small percentage of the total – defy conventional explanation.”
The main reason why scientists are exhorted about the prospect of alien life, outside of questionable UFO footage, is the so-called Fermi Paradox.
Nuclear physicist Enrico Fermi explored the probability of life developing outside of Earth after he considered some 300 billion stars exist in the galaxy, many of which are billions of years older than our own Sun.
Even if intelligent life was to develop on a small fraction of these planets in the near 14 billion-year-long history of the universe, tens of thousands of alien species should technically exist outside of Earth.
Dr Knuth said this might in and of itself does not prove aliens do exist somewhere in the Milky Way but the prospect is nonetheless exciting.
The biggest problem faced by human explorers today is the lack of speedy and efficient interstellar travel technology.
The scientist said: “With the rocket-based technologies that we have developed for space travel, it would take between 5 and 50 million years for a civilisation like ours to colonise our Milky Way galaxy.
“Since this should have happened several times already in the history of our galaxy, one should wonder where is the evidence of these civilisations?
“This discrepancy between the expectation that there should be evidence of alien civilisations or visitations and the presumption that no visitations have been observed has been dubbed the Fermi Paradox.”
Unfortunately, Dr Knuth said, there has been no “smoking gun” evidence, which could once and for all prove the existence of UFOs.
But the topic remains an area worthy of interest, study and serious debate for as long as even the slightest possibility of alien life exists.
Dr Knuth said it would greatly benefit the scientific community to try and better understand alien visitors should they ever arrive.
He said: “Moreover, this would present a great opportunity for mankind, promising to expand and advance our knowledge and technology, as well as reshaping our understanding of our place in the universe.”
One of the US space agency’s principal goals in deep space exploration is to find evidence of extraterrestrial life.
William Borucki, the principal investigator for NASA's Kepler mission, said: “If we find lots of planets like ours we’ll know it’s likely that we aren’t alone, and that someday we might be able to join other intelligent life in the universe.”
Current life hunting missions are focused on the discovery of distant exoplanets with habitable conditions similar to those of Earth’s.
However, NASA said: “Unless we get lucky, the search for signs of life could take decades.”

Good morning lovely UFOCasebookers,
For the last couple of days when I go to YouTube to see the UFO sightings the search function won't work.
Crystal
I tried UAP and came up with one from Florida 2 weeks ago. I wonder if they were here to have a meeting with a pres on a golf course. Maybe they are golf fiends

Good morning lovely people,
CTPost (Connecticut)
CT UFO sightings in 2019
By Jim Shay 10:14 am EDT, Thursday, March 21, 2019
A new year brings new UFO sightings in Connecticut, according to National UFO Reporting Center.
Last year, the center reported more than 100 UFO sightings across the state.
The center, based in Davenport, Wash., says it makes no claims as to the validity of the information in any of these reports. “Obvious hoaxes have been omitted, however most reports have been posted exactly as received in the author's own words.”
“We hope that this information will prove to be useful to the general public and the UFO community at large.”
Here are the sightings from Connecticut reported this year:
Greenwich, Jan. 11: “I saw a bright object hovering outside my window that moved in a fashion unlike anything else I've seen
“I was lying in bed trying to go to sleep, when I looked out into the horizon and notices two white lights hovering lower than planes would be. The two lights were coming from a single saucer-like object. The object did not move in a linear fashion at first; it was almost moving in small circles. After about 30 seconds it moved quickly to my left and disappeared into the sky. My neighbors have a small farm, which is rare for Greenwich, and the object seemed be hovering around their property.”
Southington, Jan 11: “UFO falling so fast, nothing would’ve could’ve stopped in time before ground contact.
“Was traveling on Route 84 west, between exits 31 and 30, at 6:30am, when in front of me, off in the distance some three miles away one triangular shaped object (with three points aiming up) was descending rapidly straight down. It was bright white/silver thinking the sun was reflecting off of it. As it disappeared I expected a large sound thinking it was going to crash and explode. As I was driving on Route 84 towards where I figured it crashed. Kept looking for any orange glow and/or smoke but nothing. Tried to rationalize by thinking it was a satellite or other space debris. Nothing on the news.”
Storrs, Jan. 12: “Disk with spokes of light
“Circular disk angled with face visible from my perspective, illuminated with glowing pattern of lights spreading like spokes from the center. The lights pulsated red and green with the top section of spokes red and the bottom section green.
“I was woken up by a sound like a helicopter and thought that’s what I was seeing, but it remained in the same relative place for some time and the lights did not behave like any aircraft I’ve seen before. It was reminiscent of a drone in some ways but definitely much larger.”
Brookfield, Jan. 21: “Dog barking at round white light with orange flame around it in evening sky for about 10 minutes.
“It was a clear night with moon and stars. I was sitting on my front steps while my dogs were sniffing around in the front yard. One of the dogs started barking at the north eastern sky. I looked up and saw a cluster of round white lights with a wide orange circle around it, looked like a flame. My dog was barking like crazy and I called my husband to hurry and come out with his camera to see it. He took some pictures and some came out, but no orange flame. It looked like it was moving slowly to the east. After about 10 minutes the orange flame went out and there was just the cluster of round white lights.
“I am emailing images. you need to blow them up to see anything. The one with the rings around it is closest to what we saw, except the outer ring was orange.
“If you want latitude and longitude, look up the Brookfield high school, that would be close.” Stamford, Jan. 27: “I had been admiring an orange moon out my balcony window, when I noticed something floating and tumbling in the sky. At first I thought it was a runaway kite or balloon, until I noticed there was a duplicate shape alongside it. They seemed to have a reflective surface on them where only the outer edges could be seen. They would fly normally for a few seconds and then they would fly in a tumbling motion.
“I grabbed my binoculars and when I looked at them they had very bright, but blurry white lights around them. However, when I looked up at them without the binoculars they didn’t seem to have the same bright lights at all, just enough reflection to see their shape. If I had to guess their altitude, I would say 3500-5000ft. and a few hundred feet apart from each other. But I could be wrong since I didn’t know what I was looking at or what their relative size was.
“I’m an avid planes potter and usually watch planes through my binoculars. Planes that leave JFK or Newark are usually at 10,000-13,000ft. Incoming planes to White Plains airport, are usually 1800-2500ft, but much smaller jets. These UFO’s were in the same sky where I watch all the planes pass by, however according to my planefinder app, there were no planes over my place when I saw these objects. They made no noise and flew out of sight within 30 seconds, which makes me believe they were small. A regular jet, on a clear night, would stay in sight for a few mins.”
Waterbury, Jan. 28: “Formations started to come out in 2 directions from behind a mountain. Another formation of 3 were high, then descended and scrambled.
Madison, Feb 6: “I was walking my dog on Middlebeach Road around 6:00am this morning, when I noticed what appeared to be a strange round cloud with a trail behind it. It appeared to to be leaving a trail behind it. It stood out because in the Eastern sky, the sun was rising and I had just taken a few Photos and videos of sunrise. It was 29 degrees, under partly cloudy skies .
“A man happened to be jogging by me while I was seeing this and I stopped him to ask him what he thought it was. He was as perplexed as I was. I continued to photograph the object. It appeared to move extremely slowly and was leaving a cloud like trail behind it. There were no lights. There was no sound other than the sound of the water and at times I would seem to blend into the sky and then reappear. I would put the object somewhere over Long Island sound or over Nassau County, NY. I have at least 30 still shots taken with iPhone 10s Plus 256.”
NUFORC Note: We spoke via telephone with the witness, and he seemed to us to be quite sober-minded and eloquent. He occupies a very responsible job, and we suspect he is an exceptionally qualified, and reliable, witness.
East Hartford: Feb. 22: “Object was seen on Main Street in East Hartford, CT, above the city lights, large starlike bright light only shining in sky changed as it moved closer to large triangular lit aircraft with red and white lights at all 3 points, two bright white lights pointing forward on underside, when directly overhead the bottom appeared grid-like, slight humming sound, slow moving. I followed a distance from a distance. Noticed other red and white blinking aircraft at approximately same height but more distant. Continued to see one or more vehicles at a distance for about half an hour.”
North Branford: Feb. 24: “Bright green slow flashes (2) one after another lasting 2-3 secs. through solid cloud deck. No aircraft heard in vicinity.
“Walking while looking directly north (clouds deck overhead no visibility of stars) first one slow 2 to 3 sec flash GREEN like maybe a meteor, but extremely bright to be able to see thru clouds, followed by a second slow 2-3 sec flash of equal brightness.
“Best guess 2 green meteors coming down. Both were lighting the sky from horizon up to 60' above north horizon and from northwest to northeast expansion. No sound or blast wave followed. But they did look close to be so bright through a solid cloud deck. I was standing just 50 yards north of highway 80 and totoket road intersection walking north in RV park. I am a pilot and amatuer astronomer and well versed in sky phenomenon. I only saw the flashes which were green and lit up the cloud deck above me as described above. No other visible indications. I waited but nothing followed. I can say by the color of flash etc... it was not a ground vehicle lights or any ground based lights causing this. Nothing to north but trees and countryside.”
Killingworth, March 3: “Two bright greenish flashes illuminated the entire area greenish light. Second flash was very alarming and unnatural giving all three of us in vehicle a panicked bracing for impact feeling. No sounds at all heard. Silent.”

Experts remove 45 rattlesnakes from under Texas home
By Ben Hooper March 21 (UPI) -- A Texas man who crawled under his house to find out why his cable wasn't working crawled right back out when he discovered dozens of rattlesnakes.
Big Country Snake Removal said the Woodson resident went into the crawlspace under his home when his cable TV was acting up and left quickly when he spotted a "few" snakes.
He contacted the company, which ended up removing 45 venomous rattlesnakes from under the home.
"The interesting thing here was they only see a few each year, their yard was very well kept and their house was nice and clean," the company said in a Facebook post. "My point is, we run into this scenario often, and people don't think it can happen to them."
"Rattlesnakes don't care how nice your house is or what kind car you drive -- they care simply about survival," the post said.
The company said 45 was a high number of snakes, but it wasn't the most its experts have seen -- they found 88 snakes under a single home three years ago.

Heading in a different direction.....Toilet seat that detects congestive heart failure getting ready to begin commercialization Researchers developed the seats to measure biometrics during 'natural' processes
Date: March 20, 2019
Source: Rochester Institute of Technology
Summary:
A toilet-seat based cardiovascular monitoring system aims to lower the hospital readmission rates of patients with congestive heart failure.

With 1 million new cases of congestive heart failure diagnosed each year, a revolutionary product is making it easier for hospitals to monitor patients with the condition in the comfort of their own homes.
A toilet-seat based cardiovascular monitoring system created by a team of Rochester Institute of Technology researchers aims to lower the hospital readmission rates of patients with congestive heart failure. The toilet seats, which will be brought through the FDA clearance process by the researchers' company Heart Health Intelligence, would be purchased by hospitals and issued to heart failure patients after discharge. The toilet seats are equipped to measure the electrical and mechanical activity of the heart, and can monitor heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygenation levels, and the patient's weight and stroke volume, which is the amount of blood pumped out of the heart at every beat. Algorithms analyze the data, and with further development, will alert advanced practice providers of a deteriorating condition. A report will be passed along to cardiologists who will then determine if intervention is necessary.
Nicholas Conn, a postdoctoral fellow at RIT and founder and CEO of Heart Health Intelligence, is part of the university team that developed the toilet seats.
"Typically, within 30 days of hospital discharge, 25 percent of patients with congestive heart failure are readmitted," said Conn. "After 90 days of hospital discharge, 45 percent of patients are readmitted. And the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is penalizing hospitals for readmitting patients for heart failure."
Conn, the company's chief executive officer, further explains that using the national average for readmission rates, the penalty alone for readmitting 150 patients is approximately $500,000 annually. The total cost of providing 150 patients with their own monitored toilet seats from HHI is $200,000. With that investment, he says, hospital systems will save more than double their initial investment within one year.
According to Conn, who earned three degrees from RIT -- a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in electrical engineering in 2011 and 2013, respectively, and a doctoral degree in microsystems engineering in 2016 -- the system will pick up deteriorating conditions before the patients even realize they are symptomatic. And with the rapid data analysis, interventions can be as simple as a drug change or short office visit, instead of an admission to the hospital.
HHI, which joined RIT's Venture Creations business incubator earlier this year, is now focused on moving the product forward. The team is heavily involved in writing grants for additional funding and networking, and human-subject testing and pre-clinical studies are well underway. Conn and his team are working on approving the product with the FDA and rolling it out across the country. ________________________________________

UFO Hunter Asks Elon Musk to Investigate NASA’s Hidden Alien Findings
By Precious Silva 03/22/19 AT 12:56 AM
Known UFO hunter Scott C. Waring has reached out several times to Elon Musk, asking the latter to investigate his alien findings, which he claims are hidden in NASA’s videos or photos.
Waring's latest tweet to the Tesla founder was about a 10-mile long alien ship spotted in the Waterman crater on Earth’s natural satellite.
Waring reached out to Musk several times, asking the SpaceX CEO and Founder to look at the "discoveries" he made as he searched for truth about aliens his entire life.
In his alien ship tweet to Musk, he also asked the executive to imagine all the advanced technologies that could be onboard the alien ship. He even compared the appearance of the "ship" to the Voyager.
"Get this ship and it will take humans across the universe. Oh…and I found others," he claimed in the last part of his tweet. His website UFO Sightings Daily also features images which Waring said shows "space crabs" on Mars. He added that "tiny midget mini-Martians" ruled it.
Throughout the years, Waring has been inviting the billionaire for a meeting about a potential business idea and also to have a look at the super-sized "alien spaceships" that he spotted in NASA images. According to Metro, Waring seems to have a soft spot for Musk although he has not received a reply yet from the Tesla founder. Previously, Waring expressed support for Musk when he volunteered to develop a submarine to help rescue the group of Thai kids stuck inside the cave.
Musk's work on spaceflight has made him a popular figure in discussions about space. With his SpaceX team, Musk launched the Crew Dragon space capsule successfully which many view as the "ship of the future" and a mark that will start the new era of spaceflight.
Musk recently revealed more details on how he plans to launch flights to Mars. The visionary claimed that he wants something that travels beyond Earth that works as efficiently as catching a flight at the airport. In other words, the business magnate wants a rocket that can land on the Moon, Mars, the Earth and anywhere else and also take off just as fast as planes at the airport on our planet.
SpaceX plans to start testing the Starship rocket that can help pull this off this week.
"Transpiration cooling will be added wherever we see erosion of the shield. Starship needs to be ready to fly again immediately after landing. Zero refurbishment," Musk said in a tweet.
