A truly wonderful Sunday afternoon back at'ya Crystal. Thanks so much for sharing that lovely footage. Wholly Kraft that neck of the woods looks h-h-hot, in fact I'm posting in a mini heatwave myself, from a regional pocket of extreme weather in the Eastern Netherlands and just watching the video my location began to feel like a cool breeze by comparison! Wild horses, happen to never have seen them in real life, I did meet with wild boars and deer in forest close to my home town. It's a magical moment when you're hiking, it's a beautiful day, body's getting back into a rhythm Prehistoric humans probably never lost throughout their lives, and a split second you spot something you've only seen on Discovery Channel and it's looking you straight in the eye 15m away. I must have looked like an exceedingly weird yet apparently harmless animal to them, since I felt like going from being the subject of intense surprise to bored dismissal in mere seconds. Their lives are their own. And I've kept thinking about such brief encounters and eye contact for many decades afterwards! Thought: I don't matter to them. They must follow their own path in this world and this is good. Anyways, those Arizonian wild horses are a joy to look at. Clearly staying cool in the water, taking care of their fam, keeping a calm/wary eye on the more rowdy canoers / rafters(?) and discreetly moving out of the way when things get overly wild for their taste. Are they dangerous at all, Crystal? I've been bitten by a horse in the 1970s and have learned to respect them ever since. purr |

Interacting with nature and animals gives you a wonderful sense of wellbeing, unless it's a bear chasing you....

Hi again Purr, I forgot to answer your question about the horses. I've never been close enough to know if they bite. We always kept our distance so as not to frighten them. But I would bet they will take a hunk out of you if need be.
