"Dinwiddie Man Intimate With Flying Saucers"
June 23, 1952
R.A. Marshall Jr. was a former electrical and mechanical engineer who had established an outpost on his Dinwiddie County farm where he could observe and experiment with flying saucers. Marshall claimed he saw his first flying saucer in 1926 “before anybody else was really concerned about them” and he had been preoccupied with them every since. According to Marshall he had seen three objects “that definitely were flying saucers.” At 45-years-old, Marshall decided to give his undivided attention to sky watching. Marshall never went anywhere without a camera and in his machine shop he built models from his own sketches of flying saucers.

Regardless of your position on transgender, I think this human being was indeed mistreated.Transgender inmate suing FDC, saying she was stripped naked and harassed about her body Emma Kennedy, Pensacola News Journal
Published June 11, 2018
A transgender Century Correctional Institution inmate is suing Florida Department of Corrections staff claiming she was stripped naked and ridiculed for having breasts.
Misha Sanders, 39, filed the federal lawsuit June 4, naming a sergeant, correctional officer and major at Wakulla Correctional Institution Annex as defendants.
Sanders is representing herself at this stage of the lawsuit, and does not provide any information in the documents about medications she’s taking, how long she’s been living as a female or any physical details about transitioning.
Sanders claims that on Sept. 19, 2017, while housed at Wakulla Annex she was strip-searched in front of inmates and harassed by guards.
Sanders said she told a guard she needed to be searched alone because she’s a transgender female, to which he replied “don’t waste my time,” according to the document. She said the officer told her to take off her jockstrap and bra, and when she did, the major came over and said “what the hell, he has tits.”
“There (sic) comments were cruel and degrading. Then while standing waiting to be shackled on the gate, Major Hamilton comes up to me and says 'women don’t have penises, your (sic) sick,’” the lawsuit reads.
Sanders says since then she’s been ridiculed by inmates and is going through emotional distress that led to her seeing a counselor.
FDC spokesman Patrick Manderfield said the agency hasn’t been served with paperwork about the lawsuit yet, but will review it upon receipt.
“The department has zero tolerance against the mistreatment or harassment of any individuals in our custody,” he said in an emailed statement. “Any allegations would be forwarded on to our Inspector General’s Office for review and investigation.”
In response to a question about FDC transgender inmate policies, Manderfield said FDC works with a mental health evaluation team to make determinations based on the clinical needs of individuals, but did not provide a specific policy document.
Sanders is seeking for the officers involved in the incident to be terminated from their duties, as well as for an investigation into the incident to be opened.
Sanders submitted multiple grievance documents in the months after the alleged incident, which were denied as the warden's office said the issue had been referred to the Office of the Inspector General, according to the lawsuit.
Sanders is now housed at Century Correctional Institution, and is serving a 30-year sentence for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in Hillsborough County.

If You don't think Thats making its way here to The states..You are sadly Mistaken.. Memes helped turn a rigged election back into the people hands..Supression and Illegalization of free expression..is a contagion that affects us all in very dire ways..
The European Union is trying to ban online memes under new digital copyright laws, which might be the first justifiable reason to actually go through with Brexit.
The proposed Copyright Directive, which will be put to a vote in the European Parliament on June 20, could see restrictions on remixes and other user-generated content.
If passed, Article 13 of the Directive will push online platform providers to “take measures to ensure the functioning of agreements concluded with rights-holders for the use of their works.”
That means popular memes inspired by copyrighted images, such as the timeless “One Does Not Simply…” from Lord of the Rings, could be deleted from the web under a “Robo-copyright regime” according to campaigners.
Those demanding Article 13 be struck down say it will “destroy the internet as we know it” and lead to bots censoring and deleting online content with no understanding of the context.
It means the likes of Facebook or Twitter could simply scan a single version of an image, video or song and simply drop the block hammer on anything that somewhat duplicates that piece of media. So, the parodies that often tickle us on lunch breaks or during the morning commute could be removed too.
Executive director Kim Killock told the BBC: “Unfortunately, while machines can spot duplicate uploads of Beyonce songs, they can’t spot parodies, understand memes that use copyright images, or make any kind of cultural judgement about what creative people are doing. We see this all too often on YouTube already.
“Add to that, the EU wants to apply the Robocop approach to extremism, hate speech, and anything else they think can get away with, once they put it in place for copyright. This would be disastrous.”
There’s currently an online campaign encouraging meme fans to email, call or tweet their MEP to have the plans struck down. They Save Your Internet campaign says Article 13 also threatens gamers who live stream, blogging platforms, discussion forums and more.
Would you leave the EU to save the humble meme? Or will Britain’s draconian ways eliminate the celebrated craze anyway? Let us know @trustedreviews on Twitter.

When The Grass Grows Greener On The Other Side www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-06-11/chris-packham-warns-ecological-apocalypse-looms-great-britainChris Packham Warns An "Ecological Apocalypse" Looms For Great BritainProfile picture for user Tyler Durden by Tyler Durden Tue, 06/12/2018 - 05:00 40 SHARES Authored by Mac Slavo via SHTFplan.com, Springwatch presenter Chris Packham is warning Great Britain of an “ecological apocalypse.” On this year’s Springwatch, Packham warns that we are presiding over “an ecological apocalypse” and Britain is increasingly becoming “a green and unpleasant land.” According to The Guardian, Packham, who is a naturalist and broadcaster, is urging people to join him next month on a10-day “bioblitz.” This would involve visiting road verges, farmland, parks, allotments, and community nature reserves across the country to record what wildlife remains. The wildlife to be looked at would range from butterflies to bryophytes, linnets to lichens. Next week, Britain will become the first country in the world to dedicate a national week to helping swifts. The naturalist hopes his bioblitz will showcase their expertise and inspire newcomers to begin to understand and get involved in nature. Packham also wants to focus on farmers. “There are a lot of good farmers out there and we are going to celebrate their work as well,” he said. Packham claims that the British people have normalized a “national catastrophe” and only see a wealth of wildlife in nature reserves, with the wider countryside completely devoid of any life. “Nature reserves are becoming natural art installations,” he said. “It’s just like looking at your favorite Constable or Rothko. We go there, muse over it, and feel good because we’ve seen a bittern or some avocets or orchids. But on the journey home there’s nothing – only wood pigeons and non-native pheasants and dead badgers on the side of the road. It’s catastrophic and that’s what we’ve forgotten – our generation is presiding over an ecological apocalypse and we’ve somehow or other normalized it,” added Packham. “How many wildflowers can we see? None. Where’s the pink of ragged robin? Where’s the yellow of flag iris? The other colors are not there. It’s not green and pleasant – it’s green and unpleasant,” Packham says despairingly of looking at the rolling hills beyond this year’s setting for Springwatch on the National Trust’s Sherborne estate in the Cotswolds.... continued

Good morning lovely people,
The Drive
Tyler Rogoway 12 June 2018
Social media has been buzzing about a bizarre photo captured by Skunkbayweather.com (http://skunkbayweather.com/), a local weather website that also runs a number of webcams located near Hanesville, Washington. The site's cameras look across the Puget Sound at Whidbey Island from Skunk Bay and one of them takes time-lapses of the undeniably picturesque setting. Just before 4am on Sunday, June 10th, that camera caught what at first glance looks like the impossible—a rocket launch that seems to be emanating from or near Naval Air Station Whidbey Island.
The photo looks downright impressive as the streak of light appears from behind low, broken cloud cover and rises towards the heavens. Adding to the picture's intrigue, what looks awfully similar to a large rocket can be seen at the end of the light trail in an extreme crop of the image. But how is that even remotely possible? The Naval Air Station, which I have been all over on numerous occasions, has no rocket operations of any kind. Furthermore, there aren't any launch facilities in the region that could even begin to explain this photo. The closest thing to something like that would be the Ohio class nuclear ballistic missile submarines (SSBNs) based not too far away at Bangor Trident Base/Naval Submarine Base Bangor, but those apocalyptic machines don't launch missiles in the Puget Sound even for testing.

More on Washington's "NOT a rocket launch":Mystery object spotted over Washington state island, military denies missile launch June 11, 2018, Fox News
A mysterious object was seen off the coast of a Washington state island last weekend. The military denies it was a missile launch. (Skunk Bay Weather )
A weather camera on an island in Washington state on Sunday captured a mystery object that appears to some to be a missile in ascent, Q13Fox.com reported.
The object was spotted at 3:56 a.m. over Whidbey Island, where there is a naval air station. But a spokesman from NAS Whidbey Island said there are no missile capabilities at the base.
"There's a lot of speculation around here,” Tom Mills, the spokesman, said. "But it's definitely not a missile launch."
A professor of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Washington speculated that the object looks like a missile.
“I’ve seen a lot of stuff,” Cliff Mass, the professor, said. “But nothing like this.”
There was reportedly an air ambulance helicopter in the vicinity of the northern Kitsap Peninsula that was flying at the same time the shot was taken.

OMG! There might be hope for us yet!Trump's NASA Chief Changed His Mind on Climate Change. He Is a Scientific Hero. By Ross Pomeroy
June 11, 2018
In 2013, then congressman Jim Bridenstine, a Republican from Oklahoma, stepped onto the floor of the House of Representatives and said these words:
"Mr. Speaker, global temperatures stopped rising 10 years ago. Global temperature changes when they exist correlate with Sun output and ocean cycles. During the Medieval Warm Period, from 800 to 1300 AD, long before cars, power plants, or the Industrial Revolution, temperatures were warmer than today. During the Little Ice Age, from 1300 to 1900 AD, temperatures were cooler. Neither of these periods were caused by any human activity. Even climate change alarmists admit that the number of hurricanes hitting the U.S. and the number of tornado touchdowns have been on a slow decline for over a hundred years. But here's what we absolutely know: We know that Oklahoma will have tornadoes when the cold jet stream meets the warm Gulf air. And we also know that this president spends 30 times as much money on global warming research as he does on weather forecasting and warning."
This single, misleading statement, spoken in the wake of a deadly, devastating tornado outbreak in Oklahoma, was crafted with truths and mistruths. Perhaps it was uttered out of genuine misunderstanding of the scientific evidence on manmade climate change? Perhaps it was said out of ideological-driven political expediency? Regardless, it earned Bridenstine the brand of "climate denier," an indelible mark that has been with him ever since, and made his recent confirmation as NASA administrator one of the most dramatic and controversial ever, for why should a science denier lead one of the world's leading scientific institutions?
But now, just six weeks into his tenure as NASA administrator, Bridenstine stated that he has "evolved" on climate change.
“I don’t deny the consensus," Bridenstine said at a NASA town hall meeting. "I believe fully in climate change and that we human beings are contributing to it in a major way.”
When asked why he changed his mind, Bridenstine told The Washington Post, “I heard a lot of experts, and I read a lot. I came to the conclusion myself that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, that we've put a lot of it into the atmosphere, and therefore we have contributed to the global warming that we've seen."
Bridenstine has also backed up his rhetoric with vocal support for NASA's climate missions, which have been threatened under a Trump presidency.
"We spend over $100 million dollars annually … on carbon monitoring at NASA," Bridenstine told a small group of reporters at NASA's Washington D.C. headquarters. "We're committed to that. And I'm committed to that."
Bridenstine's apparently genuine coming around to the facts of climate change is commendable and makes him a scientific hero of sorts. Too many scientific issues, most notably GMOs and climate change, are viewed through the lens of ideology. It's refreshing to see a politician publicly change his mind to move in line with scientific evidence.
As Bridenstine has apparently shirked off his ideological blindfold, one wonders if his detractors will as well? A great many left-leaning scientists, science communicators, and politicians incessantly railed against Bridenstine during his protracted confirmation process, accusing him of climate change heresy and of lacking a background in science, despite the fact that one of NASA's greatest administrators, James Webb (who now has a telescope named after him), had even less relevant experience than Bridenstine. Bridenstine served as a pilot in the Navy and later was the executive director of the Tulsa Air and Space Museum. Some of Bridenstine's critics even turned on liberal favorite Bill Nye when he accompanied Bridenstine to Trump's State of the Union. One writer even lambasted Nye simply for congratulating Bridenstine when he was confirmed in April. Their bias and their message was clear: Don't engage with people with whom you disagree. Nye, who notably changed his mind on GMOs in 2016 (he's now proudly pro-GMO), wisely didn't listen. It's possible he even helped persuade Bridenstine to accept the scientific evidence on climate change.
Jim Bridenstine's public acknowledgement of manmade climate change is a stirring example of how science transcends ideology. His actions should be celebrated and replicated.

THE DEBATE CONTINUES ~ THE INSIGHTS ~ PROLIFIC ~ CARRY ON!"Skeptics, who flatly deny the existence of any unexplained phenomenon in the name of 'rationalism,' are among the primary contributors to the rejection of science by the public. People are not stupid and they know very well when they have seen something out of the ordinary. When a so-called expert tells them the object must have been the moon or a mirage, he is really teaching the public that science is impotent or unwilling to pursue the study of the unknown." ~ Jacques ValleeSHALOM...Z

One of the World’s Largest Steam Locomotives Is About to Make a Triumphant Return
Hold onto your engineer caps, railroad history lovers.
by Justin Franz June 12, 2018
Seventy years after the First Transcontinental Railroad was completed in 1869, the steep Rocky Mountains of Wyoming and Utah were still giving the Union Pacific Railroad trouble.
Despite having massive steam engines, the Union Pacific, one of the biggest railroads in America, still struggled to move heavy freight trains over the mountains and would often have to use multiple locomotives to get trains to their destination. This practice required more workers and more fuel. In 1940, the Union Pacific’s mechanical engineers teamed up with the American Locomotive Company to build one of the world’s largest steam locomotives, a class of engine simply known as “Big Boy.”
Now, six decades after the last Big Boy was taken off the rails, the Union Pacific is rebuilding one of the famous locomotives in honor of the upcoming sesquicentennial celebration of the first Transcontinental Railroad. It’s a project so ambitious that Ed Dickens Jr, a Union Pacific steam locomotive engineer and the man leading the rebuild, has likened it to resurrecting a Tyrannosaurus rex.
