Skiz,
So you can understand the folly in basing the existence of exoplanets based on data derived from observations of stars millions of light years away.
Everyone strapped into the super intergalactic ship for the trip out there and someone notices a bright flash.

According to Jacques Vallee, we are not looking in the right place.
Aliens are inter-dimensional.
I also believe with are dealing with different realities.

Yet we can't prove that these extra dimensions exist.

Spock from Star Trek said, "if you eliminate the impossible, then the improbable, must be true.
Hal, you are right, I have no proof about anything!
But in my younger years I saw some really crazy stuff.
I know that ufos, aliens, and the "OZ Effect" are real.
Is the "Oz Effect" another dimension, I don't know!
I have seen time stop, matter turn transparent, and teleportation by bright light.

Well HAL,
To write a book reminds me of Peter Pan as he said, "that will be an awfully big adventure!".
But alas, this would never happen in a million years, so I must dream on.

The Drake Equation and the Fermi Paradox need to take this video into consideration when they compute how many civilizations live long enough to develop high technology and interstellar travel capability before they annihilate themselves with AI:
