In 1979 Val Johnson's squad car was hit by a UFO.

He suffered burns, his car was damaged, and his watch and the squad car's clock lost 14 minutes.

All of this would have been forgotten, but the History Channel and the Travel Channel kept bring this story up through time.

The car is a popular exhibit at the Marshall County Museum, Minnesota.

What's the point in putting a repaired car on display ? It looks like any other police car of the period for that region.

Also, The story says he thought that the light was a busted truck head light. So he followed it.

Surely if it had been a truck headlight it would have been traveling in the opposite direction. I.e towards him.

Sounds a bit like he rolled his car to me. and needed an excuse that couldn't be verified one way or the other.
