Since June 1st, 2022, I've lost 30 + pds. I'm still aiming to lose about 10-15 more...

Gratz X!
I just ran across this this..doesn't prove anything but I did see a graph that obesity started shooting up in the 80's across all age groups..cell phones? GMO? sedentary life style.. it was quite striking..

I found it! It makes a distinction between just overweight vs obese...I'm 29 pounds over my ideal weight of 150 ..pretty sedentary lifestyle. It will take an extraordinarily attractive female object of interest for me to decide to seriously work it off for that mean lean look... I did once here on Casebook..alas..t'was not to be..I believe this is the reason most women early on a pretty slim..then you marry one...and 15 years later they look just like their mum!

Gratz X! I just ran across this this..doesn't prove anything but I did see a graph that obesity started shooting up in the 80's across all age groups..cell phones? GMO? sedentary life style.. it was quite striking.. My apologies for not being X, Sysconfig, jumping in still the same. But the obesity trend devastating US and western nations' health seems to correlate with Dr. Ancel Keyes' discovery of the Diet-Heart Hypothesis, the since debunked idea that eating for a staple fatty meats while cooking with animal fats causes heart disease, especially infarction, clogging blood supply to the heart muscle. Led by America governments got involved issuing a version of Dietary Guidelines for Americans, advising us to ditch those juicy T-bone steaks and go for carbs as dietary staple instead, with healthy sounding choices like fruits/pasta & potatoes/bread/margarine & vegetable oil/salads/veggies topped off with small amounts of lean meat. Actually made us HUNGRY FOR MORE of same. It's why McDonald's kept supersizing it's burger meals. Our species just spent some 350,000 yrs hunting and eating Mammoths and Mastodons and basically anything running away from us, including fellow humans! Our bodies are adapted to eating meat (plus a little plants/herbs to go with that). What we cannot handle are lots of carbohydrates and SUGAR. Stuff will make'ya sick and fat, and well.. dead. purr

Greetz Purr my general rule is..burn off (exercise) more than you take in and you will lose weight..we have the calorie charts for both food and exercise,,,so we can plan accordingly..and eat what we like..I always take vinegar and garlic oil weekly for my plumbing and circulation..and a daily aspririn..small dose..but exercise is the key..
