I'm in West Yorkshire.
There was a BBC (i think) series called something like 'Britain's greatest UFO sightings'. I'll find the correct title and post it.
It did cover three Welsh sightings.

You are correct. It was 1974. Just looking at the front cover of Angy Roberts book 'UFO Down'.
