There is already at least one other nuclear powered sub under water.
May be the best place for it.

I feel bad for those who died, but the way it played out in the news it sounded like they defeated a USO or maybe even Godzilla.
What is really interesting is the men who died were very highly experienced and very high ranked.
I can not remember exactly but something like 9 Captains died.

The capability of the crew doesn't matter if the machine breaks down in a catastrophic manner.
I think that 'Das Boot' is a better depiction of submariners than 'Red October'.
