Seems to imply that 'visitors' are not really interested in implimenting any changes, at least for the better. HAL. I hate to say it but the best time for ET to implement their ideas of change is when we are at our weakest. We have to two things on the horizon Catastrophic Climate Change and Hybrid colonisation. I don't know if you know the story of Australian colonisation but we had a situation where a settler said to an Aboriginal "Here are some shiny balls for all this land". What Im concerned is that ET said "Here are some shiny UFOs to play with" while we plan our colonisation. We need to have open diplomatic discussions with ETs or we must remain on the defensive even though we don't stand a chance. Here is a WTF moment and he is definitely saying planet.

If I was living where you live I would be more concerned with his views on warming and sea level rising than what he thinks of ufo. If you were addressing me down here in 5 mtrs below sea level Netherlands, H AL (not quite sure): uhh... I was not expressing "concern" of any kind, perhaps I was hopeful Trump is maverick enough to share whatever tidbits of real UFO information he deems prudent.
I'm already on record as feeling comfortable with Trump's climate stance, believing the Manmade Global Warming theory for now flawed and unproven. Although I worry about his big business leanings in regard to US environment: imo Americans need clean air and water maybe even more than a strong economy. Climate of course is very real, and I believe Mankind (not just America) ought to lose no time in planning for future climate disasters, not just sea level rises but BIG UNS like asteroid impact, supervolcanos going pop and ensuing Cold Snaps.
People and governments obsessing over those projected cms (or meters) of sea rise in my view rather hinders than helps here. I model planet Earth as being in for one hell of a blind date with .....sumtin...... If you think that's ridiculous just ask the dinosaurs.
And looping back on topic, that sumtin might be precisely the essence of what UFO and alien information entails, hence its strict classification, and most 20th century & onwards US presidents' dilemmas on what to ask, to know and reveal of UFO intel.

'Maverick' isn't the descriptive I would use...But each to his/her own.

I support the American People and their Democratic Choice.
Sure you would, HAL, but my somewhat emphatic use of the adjective "maverick" as meaning 'displaying independence of thought and action' does seem to apply to President Trump as demonstrated by Dems continually underestimating him as he ran for president and won it. Just about every day since then NOBODY seems able to predict what he's gonna do tomorrow, leaving the world in perpetual bewilderment over Trumps words and actions. Emerging out of this steep learning curve the opposition to Trump winning a second term in 2020 has fielded a whopping two dozen candidates for the Democratic Nomination or so, with panels on CNN obsessing over who will be able to take on Trump. Nobody's laughing there, probably sloshing around in maximum absorption diapers. HAL: I'm no unwavering Trump supporter, I often said I agreed with a number of his policies. I do support the American People (and with that comes whomsoever they democratically elect as their first citizen every four years!). But on UFOs, this 'maverick' or call it unpredictable or even CONTRARY personality trait imo translates to a tendency to bend or break the rules, including most vital ones pertaining to national security. Trump knows more about war than his generals, and who are his intelligence chiefs to tell him what to keep secret hah... hahh...! If there's anything to our subject, to alien information, craft sightings and even historical contact between us and nonhuman others, this President might feel inclined to tell as much as he could get away with (and not end up as Kennedy). To enlighten mankind, take his place in history and ...what else... get the vote from the US UFO community .

I just feel sorry for the cat.
Not much point in pursuing the politics here.
We now have Boris in control; should be interesting.

A few days before Dallas, JFK was in a heated argument over UFOs with the CIA as UFO lore goes.
Kennedy was mad because he thought UFOs would be interpreted as U.S. planes attacking Russia.
When White House spokesman Sarah Sanders was asked about the UFO “tic-tac”, she said Trump gave her no information on the subject and it would not be discussed.
Purr, you are right, Trump is scared and keeping his mouth shut!

Thanks, Hal, but it looks like a non-event for us. They're thinking now that it won't even make landfall. I'm all the way over near Tallahassee. As soon as it looked like it would not cross the penninsula and enter the Gulf, we all relaxed!

If I was living where you live I would be more concerned with his views on warming and sea level rising than what he thinks of ufo. That is an excellent and novel way to fall asleep!!! ..the first counting how many days Trump has in office and the second counting how many days left before the ocean rises..Its about time someone thought of something else besides sheep. well done..but I don't believe Purr has a sleeping problem and she can choose whatever she wants because..if only..because ,unless there have been changes I am unaware of, ..its her job here..as well as a life long interest... As for Trumps statement..saying he understands people believe what they saw..is not a new idea..or admission of anything..it describes a lot of folx here..much less that abc nailed him..
