I have only a passing knowledge of the Ummo (I did not read your link, I admit) but it was definitely a hoax. The photos of the craft were embarrassingly bad and the letter writers didn't know how far away their home star, Wolf 424, was from earth. It coincidentally changed when astronomers revised their data from 3.7 light-years to 14.3 light-years. Now if the Ummites had said it was 14.3 l-y from the start and astronomers later came to agree with it, that would be shocking. Clearly, the Ummites were humans. But what IS interesting is that prior to 1965, the CIA stationed in Spain received a few letters from the Ummites who claimed that two of their “brothers” had been living and working out of 58 Mayor Street in Albacente from 1952-4. They were guests, they said, of the lady of the house, Margarita Ruiz de Lihory, a woman of high society. The letters claimed that these two “brothers” were engaged in “psycho-physiological experiments on animals.” When investigators were dispatched to 58 Mayor Street, they learned that in February of 1954, the remains of a dismembered body had been found there—a hand and the limbs were removed and “sectioned.” The corpse was that was Margot Shelly Ruiz de Lihory, Señora Margarita’s daughter. The señora herself could not or would not provide any useful information. No suspects were ever named. To this day, Spanish authorities would like to interview these two “brothers” about their experiments. Margarita and Margot Ruiz de Lihory. The headline is probably in relation to the death of Lady Margarita's daughter. It says, "I am not crazy, a sadist or a villain." Now this dismemberment and sectioning bear a disturbing resemblance to cattle mutilations. On my Missing 411 thread, I discuss the possibility of a group of humans having evolved into higher order predators and it is possible that at least some of these so-called Ummites might be just that--the two "brothers" at 58 Mayor Street, for example. But they aren't from Wolf 424 or any other star system. They are right here on earth living among us, indistinguishable from us. Or maybe I'm just another nutcase. I don't know anymore. But, regardless, murder is serious business. The UFO thing is all fun and games until someone innocent dies and then it's not a game anymore. I have no respect for murderers. Now justice is called for.

I'll ck out the article later today.....but I believe that Dr Vallee wrote the definitive comments on that in one or twp of his books..he felt that they were most likely to be disinformation/ or intelligence field tests...designed for 'practice'? I'm paraphrasing his comments but he did not think they were legitimate either as to being space beings. A general article www.ufodigest.com/article/the-ummo-affair-are-extraterrestrials-living-among-us/

Hmmm.....Oxford professor believes alien-human hybrid species will save Earth By Eileen AJ Connelly
April 27, 2019
Dr.Young-hae Chi, Youtube
The search for signs of intelligent life in the universe may have to skip Oxford University.
A spacey professor at the austere British institution claims bug-like aliens walk among us, and says they’re having very close encounters with humans — interbreeding to create a new hybrid species that could one day save Earth from climate change and other disasters.
The visitors are hardly altruists — they are meddling in our affairs because they share a “comprehensive biosphere” with humans, according to Dr. Young-hae Chi , an instructor in Korean at Oxford’s Oriental Institute.
“They come not for the sake of us, but for the sake of them, their survival, but their survival is actually our survival as well — the survival of the entire biosphere,” explained Chi, who has penned a new book in Korean on the topic called “Alien Visitations and the End of Humanity.”
It’s no coincidence that the visitors are appearing now that Earth is facing major problems, such as nuclear weapons proliferation and climactic change, he said.
“Judging from the way the ETs are acting, they have a better view of our future, perhaps it is pointing to a pessimistic future,” Chi told the Oxford Student campus newspaper this past week.
“It may be more or less assumed that the hybrid project is a response to this impending demise of human civilization,” Chi said in a 2012 lecture where he first introduced the possibility of the hybrid race.
There are four types of aliens, Chi told the campus paper: “Small; tall and bold; aliens with scales and snake eyes; and finally, insect-like.”
Alien hierarchy is truly a bug’s life, as the insect-like ones rank highest on the totem pole and probably boss around the others, Chi said.
“I don’t think they are from far away, they are just next to us, we can’t see them,” he said, reasoning that human perception is limited by our organs. It’s unclear if a human would even realize if he or she encountered one.
Yet despite their primitive appearances, Chi said the ETs are highly intelligent — as, too, are their half-human offspring — and therefore the only creatures smart enough to tackle planetary problems such as climate change and nuclear disaster.
But why fuss with humans?
Chi has three theories: Either they find human DNA valuable for preserving their species; they want to create a species that can survive future climate calamities; or they are trying to produce an intelligent future leader.
Chi said he’s searching everywhere under the sun to support his theory, but he still needs “more evidence to support my view.”

Speaking of 'weird ufo cases'...I haven't heard of anything truly weird with all those bells and whistles that signify high strangeness for a very long time. Did all the 'tricksters' suddenly leave earth for greener pastures..?
